Manfred Linzmaier

Manfred Linz Maier ( born August 27, 1962 in Kufstein ) is a retired Austrian football player and football coach.

Playing career

Linzmaier began his career at Innsbruck AC, then moved to the National Youth Training Centre Schwaz, 1980 before he was obliged by the SSW Innsbruck. In 1993 he went to LASK. After two years at LASK he moved to another club in Upper Austria, namely SK Vorwärts Steyr. After half a year in Steyr, he went back to Linz to FC Linz. His last active station was at FC Kufstein in Tyrol. Linzmaier took part in the 1990 World Cup in Italy and has been deployed.

Coaching career

Linzmaier began his coaching career as an assistant coach Kurt Jara at FC Tirol, where he was champion twice. According to two league titles, he moved with Kurt Jara in the German Bundesliga for Hamburger SV. After a year in the Hanseatic city he followed his coach Jara 1 FC Kaiserslautern in the Pfalz. After Jara was fired, he temporarily took at Red Bull Salzburg the post as interim coach at and then again behind Jara to be an assistant coach. After Kurt Jara was dismissed from Salzburg, was Linzmaier chief scout of the bulls.
