Mani Madhava Chakyar

Mani Madhava Chakyar (* February 15, 1899, † 14 January 1990) ( Malayalam: നാട്യാചാര്യ പദ്മശ്രീ മാണി മാധവ ചാക്യാര് ) was a Kutiyattam and Chakyar Kuthu actor and Sanskrit scholar in Kerala, India. In 1964 he was awarded the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award of the National Academy of Music and Dance. He carried the honorary title Natyacharya ( " Dancing Master " ) and was awarded the Padma Shri.
