The Mano River Union ( MRU) is an intergovernmental economic organization in West Africa, the countries belonging to the Ivory Coast, Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia. Her name is derived from Mano, the border river between the three founding states.

The MRU was originally founded in 1973 in Sierra Leone, in 1980 it occurred in Guinea. During the civil wars in Liberia and Sierra Leone, but it ceased its operations. On 20 May 2004, the MRU was newly established in 2008, Guinea and the Ivory Coast of the organization joined.

Headquarters of the MRU is Freetown, Sierra Leone. In addition, offices are located in Nzérékoré (Guinea), Kenema (Sierra Leone), Nimba (Liberia) and in Danané (Ivory Coast).

The object of the MRU is the economic empowerment of the region, trade, harmonization of telecommunications and postal services, the development of industry and agriculture and the political cooperation between the Member States.
