Manuel Cortez

Manuel Armando Cortez ( born May 24, 1979 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German - Portuguese actor, photographer, stylist and video director.

Life and career

At the age of ten years he visited the children acting school in Lisbon and then completed at the Lisbon Conservatory of the association of young actors an acting and vocal training. He also trained as a hairdresser and a private law training for makeup artists with a focus on Spezial-Makeup/Special Effects.

He first became known for films like Night of the Living Dorks, Autobahnraser or Do Fish a wider audience. In addition, viewers could him briefly in the ZDF movie And the bride knew nothing (2006) see. Among his greatest successes include the role of the Rokko Kowalski in the Sat.1 telenovela Love in Berlin. In 2009, he danced in the TV show Yes, we can dance. From 2011 to April 2012, he starred in Anna and love as male lead Luca Benzoni.

Currently, Manuel Cortez lives in Berlin. In the second season of X Factor, he served first as artistic director. This activity, he continues also to the third season.

In 2013, Cortez won the sixth season of the dancing show Let's Dance. His dance partner was Melissa Ortiz- Gomez.
