Manuel Esquivel

Manuel Esquivel ( born 2 May 1940) is a politician of Belize.

He was born at the time of colonial rule in Belize City. His studies in physics, he graduated from Loyola University New Orleans, New Orleans (United States). After completing his Bachelor of Science degree, he later went to the University of Bristol in the UK again after physical studies. Today he wears an honorary doctorate from Loyola University.

Esquivel led the United Democratic Party and was 1984-1989 and 1993-1998 Prime Minister of Belize.
