Manuel Hermoso

Manuel Antonio Hermoso Rojas (* June 24, 1935 in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, Spain ) is a Spanish regional politicians of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands.

Career

Breakfast was Manuel Hermoso to Madrid and Vigo, where he studied. In 1969 he returned to the Canary Islands and assumes a furniture company which founded his recently deceased father. 1970 Manuel Hermoso member of the INI, the Instituto Nacional de Industria de España. With the announcement of the first municipal elections he decides, after the death of Francisco Franco, in addition to other business owners to run for mayor of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. From 1977 to 1991 he was then mayor of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and head of the Union of Democratic Center, Unión de Centro Democrático (UCD) at. From 1985, this union was to Agrupaciones Independientes de Canarias (AIC ), which was received, among others, in 1993, the new regional party Coalition Canaria (CC). Two legislatures, 1993-1999, was Hermoso President of the Canary Islands.
