Manuel Hilario de Céspedes y García Menocal

Manuel Hilario de Céspedes y García Menocal ( born March 11, 1944 in Havana ) is Bishop of Matanzas.

Life

Manuel Hilario de Céspedes y García Menocal received on 21 May 1972, the ordination. Pope Benedict XVI. appointed him on May 7, 2005 Bishop of Matanzas and it was introduced in the post on 11 June of the same year.

He received his episcopal consecration of the Bishop of Pinar del Río, José Siro González Bacallao, on 4 June of the same year; Pedro Claro Meurice were co-consecrators Estiu, Archbishop of Santiago de Cuba, and Jaime Lucas Cardinal Ortega y Alamino, Archbishop of San Cristobal de la Habana.

Carlos Manuel de Céspedes García- Menocal is his older brother.
