Manuela Martelli

Manuela Abril Martelli Salamovich ( born April 16, 1983 in Santiago de Chile) is a Chilean actress.

Career

Martelli, a daughter of the industrialist Nicolás Martelli, Saint George 's College visited in Vitacura. After leaving college in 2002, she studied at the Escuela de Arte de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and at the Escuela de Teatro same university. She graduated in 2007.

It became famous through the film Machuca, directed by Gonzalo Justiniano. It embodies the spirited Silvana, a girl from a slum in Santiago de Chile, contributing by selling flags and cigarettes on demonstrations to the family upkeep and is shot after Pinochetputsch in a raid. For her performance in Machuca, directed by Andrés Wood, she was awarded at the Festival de Cine de La Habana as best actress. After that, she starred in the second season of the series Huaiquimán y Tolosa. Later, she starred in the movie Radio Corazón, in the second version of " Roberto Artiagoitíal ", an adolescent who loses her virginity before their 18th birthday. In the following years she starred in television series such as Feroz, which was broadcast on Canal 13 from December 2009 to March 2010. Here, it embodies a girl who falls in love with a wolf.
