Mapimí is a place in the state of Durango in Mexico. Mapimí is the administrative seat of the homonymous municipality Mapimí.

Mapimi has 5,623 inhabitants ( 2010) and lies at an altitude of 1367 m, 46 km north- west of Gómez Palacio at the Federal cerretera 30 on the southern edge of the Bolson de Mapimí.

2012 Mapimí was named Pueblo Mágico.
