Maputo Province

The Maputo province located in the south of Mozambique and is approximately 26,058 km ². The provincial capital is the city of Maputo Matola. The capital of Mozambique, Maputo Cidade is surrounded by the province, but is administratively autonomous.

In the province of Maputo, about 1 million people ( as of 2002).

The Maputo province is again divided into seven districts:
