Mar 'Ukban III (exilarch)

Mar ' Ukban III was temporal leader of Babylonian Jewry.

He was a son of Nehemiah. After this died in 337, he took over the office of exilarch. Furthermore Mar ' Ukban III was known as the hero Nathan di Zzuta.
