Mar Mar Aye

Mar Mar Aye and Daw Mar Mar Aye ( Burm. မာ မာေ အး, born July 26, 1942 in Myaung Ma) is a singer of the classic Burmese song from Myanmar.

Life

She was born nearby in the Irrawaddy Delta Myaung Mya on 26th July 1942. Her parents were also artists. So they began very early with the classic song and already took eight years, a first record on. The national breakthrough came with their second record ( Thet Tan Paw Hmar Kasar -mae " Let's Play on the Rainbow" ), which she recorded at the age of thirteen.

Before she left Myanmar, she was a recognized and famous artist in the years 1955-1997. She was a member of the National Music Council and has held high positions in the Burma Broadcasting Service ( BBS).

She has published in their lives over 6000 songs, acted in three films and written two novels. She is also the founder of the Singing Academy Aye, Aye Aye Mar Musical Enterprise and the Foundation.

Since emigrating in 1998 to the United States they devoted to the study of Burmese music and traveled abroad to Burmese exile groups almost bring their music. In Burma's programs at the BBC, she discusses in the show Pyaw Pya Sa Ya Dwe Le Bon Gyi Ta Shi The De ( "I Still Have So Much to Tell You" ) different subjects.

In 2007, she dedicated the participants of the Saffron Revolution, a song titled A- thae Nar Kabar Makyae ( " Heartache to last till the World's Annihilation" ). They also released a campaign song against the national referendum in Myanmar, entitled " Vote No! " and a song for the victims of tropical storm Nargis.
