Marasmiaceae

Collared Schwindling ( Marasmius rotula )

The fungi of the family of Schwindling relatives usually develop Saprobionten on dead plant material, such as fallen leaves, twigs, in the needle litter and wood. After a rain, some species may appear in large numbers.

Features

Characteristics of Schwindling relatives are usually the very tough stem and the ability after a dry period to rehydrate quickly.
