Marc Edwards (TV presenter)

Marc Edwards ( born November 11, 1980 in Paris, France) is a Welsh television presenter and Chinese by China Central Television and France 24 He currently presents Travelogue Documentary on CCTV (CCTV -9) and CCTV -News. He was also the male announcer in French and English for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Summer Olympic Games in London in 2012.

Life

Edwards was born on 11 November 1980 in Paris as the son of a Welsh father and a Malaysian - Chinese mother and speaks fluent French, Mandarin and English. He lived the first seven years of his life in Paris, before visiting the Prestfelde School in Shrewsbury and then the Radley College in Oxfordshire, England. He studied modern languages ​​and economics at Durham University and worked in London and Paris, before he went to China. While studying for a degree in Economics, Italian and French, he hosted his own show on the university radio station Purple FM.

Edwards was founded in 2007 by China Central Television's (CCTV ) English-language channel CCTV News set, where he moderated the travel magazine Travalogue.

His first series was a three-part series in collaboration with National Geographic Traveler magazine trends. Here, he traveled by car along the fabled Tea and Horse Trails of Lijiang in Yunnan to Lhasa in Tibet. Episode 2 of the series won the award for best documentary at the annual CCTV Awards 2008.

He hosted Travelogues "Being Beijing " series and mini-series, which campaigned for the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 and were then aired. Attractions, food and drink as well as the preparations for this event were in the foreground.
