Marc Moulin

Marc Moulin ( born September 1, 1942 in Ixelles, † 26 September 2008) was a Belgian jazz and fusion musicians (piano, Hammond organ, keyboards, synthesizer), record producer and author. He was one of the pioneers of electro jazz.

Life and work

Moulin, whose parents are the sociologist and author Léo Moulin and the poet and literary critic Jeanine Moulin, music lessons received at the Académie de musique city of his birth. He studied political sciences and economics at the Université libre de Bruxelles. During his studies he worked as a jazz pianist. In 1961 he founded his own trio, with whom he won awards at various jazz festivals. In 1963 he became a member of the quintet of Alex Scorier.
