Marcel Gebhardt

Marcel Gebhardt (born 15 September 1979) is a former German football player. Since July 2010 he has been sports director at Wormatia Worms.

Career

The midfielder joined the KFC Uerdingen 05 1998 1 FC Cologne after his first descent into the 2nd Bundesliga. His coach at 1.FC were former national player Bernd Schuster and Ewald Lienen, the Billy Goats 2000 returned under whose direction in the 1st Bundesliga. In his three years in Cologne Gebhardt has only been used once. It was not possible to take advantage of the then- held major upheaval in team him. After Ewald Lienen had placed on him no more value, changed Gebhardt, 2001 in the Oberliga West to Wormatia Worms. In Worms he finished, after a year-long trip to VfB Leipzig, injured his active career in 2010 and joined the current regional league in the sports management. Incidentally plays Gebhardt since January 2011, while division club VfL Gundersheim. In February 2012, Marcel Gebhardt extended his contract as sports director at the Wormatia to June 2014.
