Marcel Ketelaer

Marcel Ketelaer ( born November 3, 1977 in Mönchengladbach ) is a former German football player and current football coach. Since June 17, 2013 he is the coach of the Austrian third division FC Blau- Weiss Linz.

Career

Marcel Ketelaer played from 1982 to 2000 with Borussia Mönchengladbach (youth, amateurs, professionals ). On 1 July 1997 he signed his first professional contract. The first Bundesliga Match of Ketelaer on 11 May 1996 (33rd Round ) against KFC Uerdingen 05 Ketelaer came on in the 85th minute for Jörgen Pettersson. He joined in 2000 after ten goals in 30 games for an estimated 5.5 million DM from the second division Borussia Moenchengladbach to Hamburg SV. In the 2000 /01 season he played six games in the Champions League and prepared two hits before (one at 4:4 " Game of the Century " against Juventus Turin). In the following season, he scored on 9 Gameday at the premiere of Kurt Jara as coach two goals against Hertha BSC. In the season 2002/ 03 he returned to his hometown club to Mönchengladbach.

After unsuccessful stops at the 1st FC Nuremberg and LR Ahlen, he moved in January 2006 to FC Superfund Pasching. After the license transfer of Traun to Klagenfurt for SK Austria Kärnten he played six games in the southern Austrian state before he moved to SK Rapid Wien, 2008. After a few injuries and only 12 inserts his contract in Vienna was dissolved. Ketelaer sought until January 2010 club he was with the Austrian third division FC Traun.

Ketelaer played ten games for the German U- 21 team, scoring three goals.

Since Summer 2013 Ketelaer with Yahya Genc coach of the Austrian club FC Blau-Weiss Linz which plays in the regional center.
