Marcin Dołęga

Marcin Dołęga ( born July 18, 1982 in Łuków, Poland) is a Polish weightlifter who competes for the team of Zawisza Bydgoszcz.

Sporting career

Marcin Dolega was locked at the beginning of his international career weightlifter from the International Weightlifting Federation ( IWF) from 2004 to 2006 for doping two years. Marcin Dołęga in 2006 in Santo Domingo world champion in a duel with 415 kg and 222 kg in collision with, and vice world champion in the snatch with 193 kg in class to 105 kg. At the 2007 World Championships in Chiang Mai he could after three invalid attempts in the snatch not bring in the duel rating and in pushing it reached due to its higher body weight behind Nikolaos Kourtidis the 4th Place. As the world record holder in the snatch with 199 kg Dołęga occurred in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing as a medal favorite. After 195 kg in the first attempt of breaking up Dołęga tried at the world record weight of 200 kg, but could not overcome, in contrast to Andrei Aramnau. Then Dolega increased to 201 kg, which, however, he had to leave again fall. In thrusting he started at 225 kg, and then twice tried unsuccessfully to 228 kg, which would have meant the bronze medal for him. Ultimately, he ended up with a 420 kg in 4th place behind Dmitri Lapikow who raised the same load, but was 70 grams lighter.

At the 2009 World Championships in Goyang Dolega was world champion in the snatch with 195 kg, and jerk with 226 kg and in a duel with 421 kg.
