Marcin Kuś ( born October 2, 1981 in Warsaw, Poland ) is a Polish footballer.

Club career

Marcin Kuś began his career at Polonia Warszawa. In the season 1999/ 00 he made his debut in the Ekstraklasa. In 2004 he moved to Lech Poznań. Here, however, he could only prevail due and was sold to England to Queens Park Rangers. After a less successful season so far with the English, he moved then to Russia to Torpedo Moscow. He was then an integral part of the team. End of 2007 for personal reasons he changed back to Poland to Korona Kielce. Here he showed strong capabilit over two seasons and was appointed in the meantime again for the national team. After the 2007/ 08 season Korona Kielce was demoted to the 2nd league and Kuś left the club in the direction of Turkey. Since the 2008/ 09 season playing for the Turkish club İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor and is a regular player here. After a change of coach in summer 2012 Kuś got no chance for further operations, so he dissolved the end of 2012 his contract. In March 2013 he returned to Poland and signed a contract with Gornik Zabrze to the end of the season. For Gornik Zabrze Marcin Kuś completed, however, because of the license issues, not a single game. For the 2013/14 season he signed on June 26, 2013 a contract with the newly promoted Cracovia Krakow.

National

In the Polish national team, he made ​​his debut on 21 August 2002 against Belgium (1-1). Between 2002 and 2008, he completed seven games for Poland.

His brother in law Rafał Szwed was also a professional footballer and played for Sokol Tychy, Stomil Olsztyn, Ruch Chorzów, Gornik Zabrze and Polonia Warszawa in the Polish Ekstraklasa. He also completed one international match for Poland on 19 June 1999 in Bangkok against New Zealand (0-0 ).
