Marco Antonio Arriagada Quinchel

Marco Antonio Arriagada Quinchel ( born October 30, 1975 in Curico ) is a former Chilean track and road racing cyclist.

Sports career

Marco Arriagada was 2001 Chilean national time trial champion. The next year he won a stage at the Vuelta Ciclista de Chile. In 2003 he was first overall in the Vuelta Ciclista al Sur and back lids national time trial champion and he won a stage and the overall classification of the Vuelta de Chile. The next year he was successful on two sections of the Vuelta al Sur eyelids and he won a stage with overall in the country's tour of Chile again. In both tours he repeatedly celebrated in the following years, stage wins. 2005 Arriagada won the race at Nevados de Chillán Ascension a los a stage and so could the Appreciation decide for themselves. The next year he was able to defend the overall win. He also won a stage and the overall classification of the Vuelta a Mendoza. In the 2007 season he was the first overall Vuelta de Atacama and in 2008 he won a portion of the Vuelta de San Juan.

On the web In 2001 he was third at the Pan-American Championships in the individual pursuit. In 2004 he won the World Cup points race in Moscow. In the Pan-American Championship 2005 in Mar del Plata Arriagada won the gold medal in the team pursuit and two silver medals in the individual pursuit and points race. In 2007 he won jointly with Antonio Cabrera, the six-day race in Mexico Aguascalientes.

In January 2011, Arriagada was tested in the " Vuelta Ciclista de Chile " positive effect on anabolic steroids. He was for four years until January 2015 locked and denied him his victory in the Vuelta.
