Marco di Carli

Marco di Carli ( born April 12, 1985 in Loeningen / Lower Saxony ) is a German swimmer.

Di Carli is very versatile and takes on international competitions in the disciplines back, freestyle and documents. He has been training since the beginning of 2006 in the SG Frankfurt after he long remained at his home club SV Sigiltra Soegel before. Di Carli works in the sports promotion group of police Hesse.

Achievements

  • Seven German league title since 2004 (100 m backstroke, 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle, 100m individual medley )
  • Silver medals at the European Youth Championships 2003 on 50 & 100 meter backstroke
  • Bronze medal at the 2003 European Championships Short Course in Dublin about 100 meters individual medley
  • Finals at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens over 100 meters backstroke ( eighth )
  • Fourth at the 2005 World Championships in Montreal with the 4 x 100 meter medley relay
  • German champion with a German record for the 100 meter freestyle ( 48.24 s ) at the German Championships 2011
