Marcus Arrecinus Clemens (prefect 38)

Marcus Arrecinus Clemens was a Roman knight in the 1st century, who came from Pisaurum.

Under Caligula, he was praetorian prefect and involved in the conspiracy against Caesar in the year 41. About his other career nothing is known, but could he or a relative of the mentioned in an inscription from Ariminum military tribune M. Arrecinus be f M. Clemens.

He had a son of the same name, who was 73 and 85 Suffektkonsul over the years, and a daughter Arrecina Tertulla, the first early late wife of the future Emperor Titus.
