Marcus Fulvius Flaccus (consul 264 BC)

Marcus Fulvius Flaccus (* between 315 BC and 305 BC; † after 264 BC) was a politician of the Roman Republic in the third century before Christ. He is regarded as the founder of the branch of Flacci in the gens Fulvia.

In the year 271 or 270 BC, he was tribune of the people and was BC along with Manius Curius gyrus ( which, however, died shortly after taking office ) as duovir aquae perducendae with the completion of the aqueduct Anio Vetus commissioned 270. In the year 264 BC, was consul Flaccus and conquered Volsinii, for which he received a triumph. On the Aventine he consecrated the transferred to Rome god Vertumnus a temple. In the temple of Mater Matuta inscriptions were found by dedications which he set up in triumph.

In advanced age served Flaccus 246 BC again. Equitum magister as a dictator for the conduct of elections
