Duke Władysław died on 14 February 1460th In his will he bequeathed his possessions to his wife Margaret as jointure and his brother Przemislaus II In fact, however, ruled Przemislaus II in the aftermath alone over the possessions of his late brother. Margareta, dispossessed of sovereignty over their country, remained in Glogau, even after her brother Przemislaus II in 1476 the territories lost to Matthias Corvinus, who annexed to the crown of Bohemia. Even if she exercised only formal authority over her jointure, she stood against the Saganer Duke John II, who wanted to exert direct control over the land.

Casimir II, a nephew of Wladislaus and Przemislaus II, asserted his claim to the heritage, because he was the only male heir of the Duke of Teschen line. Soon he was called by the City Council of Glogau, to preserve the rights of Margareta. However, he was beaten shortly afterwards by the troops of John II. Finally, Casimir II renounced in 1479 on all of its claims on the inheritance Wladislaus, where he received a financial compensation of King Matthias Corvinus.

This Margareta was forced to defend the city alone against John II. She held the defense of Glogau until May 1, 1480 upright to Johann II after the seven-week siege captured the city, and thus the duchy of Glogau reunited after a separation of nearly 150 years. Margaret died two months later.
