Margarete Jonas

Margarete Jonas ( born June 13, 1898 in Vienna, † August 7, 1976 ibid; born Towarek ) was the wife of the Austrian politician Franz Jonas ( 1899-1974 ) and during his term as president from 1965 to 1974, the Austrian First Lady.

Career

Towarek had married the then working as a proofreader Franz Jonas 1922. The marriage remained childless.

She is buried alongside her husband in the presidential crypt in Vienna's Central Cemetery.
