Maria Antonia Ferdinanda of Spain

Maria Antonia of Spain (Spanish: María Antonia Fernanda ) (* November 17, 1729 in Seville, † September 19, 1785 in Moncalieri near Turin ) was an Infanta of Spain and by marriage Queen of Sardinia - Piedmont.

Life

She was born as the youngest daughter of the Spanish King Philip V and his wife Elisabetta Farnese in Seville.

On 31 May 1750, it was in Oulx near Turin with Prince Victor Amadeus of Sardinia, Duke of Aosta and Savoy, later King Victor Amadeus III. married.

Three of her sons followed her husband as kings of Sardinia. From her daughters were two to France, married a third to Saxony, but none of them should be queen. All three died before the throne of their husbands.

Queen Maria Antonia died on September 19, 1785 in the Royal Castle of Moncalieri near Turin, and was buried in the Basilica di Superga near Turin.
