MarÃa Canals Barrera
Maria Pilar Canals Barrera ( born September 28, 1966 in Miami, Florida ) is an American actress of Cuban descent, known for her role as Theresa Larkin - Russo in the Disney Channel series Wizards of Waverly Place.
Life and achievements
Canals- Barrera made his debut in an episode of the TV series 21 Jump Street - Tatort classroom from the year 1990 for her role in the show, The Tony Danza Show, she was nominated in 1998 for the ALMA Award.. In 2002, she received the same award for her role in the television series The Brothers Garcia.
Maria Canals- Barrera played from 2007 to January 2012 in the television series Wizards of Waverly Place, the role of Theresa Larkin - Russo. This role earned her nominations in 2008 for the ALMA Award and for the Imagen Award. In the musical comedy Camp Rock ( 2008), she stepped on to the side of Demi Lovato, Joe Jonas and Meaghan Jette Martin in a larger role. In 2011, she took on the role of a student who is instructed by Julia Roberts in Tom Hanks ' Larry Crowne production.
Canals- Barrera is married to actor David Barrera.
