Maria Ramberger
Maria Ramberger ( born October 12, 1986 in Vienna) is an Austrian snowboarder in the A-team of the Austrian Snowboard Cross team and multiple national champion (2006, 2011, 2012, 2013).
Career
The living in Klosterneuburg and Vienna-born athlete starts for Union Trend Sports Weichberger in snowboard cross. The age of seven she discovered the sport of snowboarding. From a three- day course was a career. At twelve, she ran her first race. In the season 2002/ 03, the Lower Austrian launched for the first time in the European Cup. First Maria Ramberger drove in the parallel slalom and giant slalom. Good results in snowboard cross lured to specialization. On 5 December 2004, she won her first European Cup races in Switzerland Nendaz. A parallel slalom. That same season she won her first snowboard cross in March in Italy. In the parallel vote in the European Cup 2004/05 season they finished third.
Ramberger debuted on January 5, 2004 at the World Cup ( Bad Gastein). In 2006, she exhibited for the first time at large. Missed the final of the World Junior Championships just a medal and won her first national title. In the 2007 /08 season they finished second in the European Cup final scoring third place and celebrated two victories of the season. Since the 2008/ 09 season, she is a permanent member of the World Cup team. 2009 and 2011, she contested the snowboard cross at the Snowboard World Championships in South Korea and Spain. She has participated in 2010 at their first Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver and reached the quarter-finals. In addition, the Klosterneuburgerin 2010 has completed her law studies at the University of Vienna. In the season 2010/11 they reached with two fifth places their previous top rankings in the World Cup.
The Snowboard World Cup 2010/11 they finished in snowboard cross ( SBX ) after seven contests with a ninth place and in March 2011 it was Austrian Champion in snowboard cross. On 8 December, they celebrated together with her teammate Susanne Moll their first World Cup success. In Montafon, they won the team competition. In January 2013, it was eighth at the World Championships in Canada Stoneham in snowboard cross. In early March secured the Klosterneuburgerin their fourth national title.
