Maria Rowohlt

Maria Rowohlt ( born as Mary piers Kamper; born June 5, 1910 in Bochum, † April 11, 2005 in Hamburg) was a German actress and the wife of the publisher Rowohlt.

Life

Maria piers Kamper graduated from the secondary school in Bochum and took acting lessons at Dr. Saladin Schmitt in Bochum. She worked in the 1930s and 1940s as an actress first at the Schiller Theater in Berlin and at the Schauspielhaus Zurich. Also in Bochum, Gera, food, Darmstadt, Wiesbaden, Frankfurt and Hamburg, she was on stage. Later she worked sporadically as a film actress.

In his third marriage, she was married to the painter Max Rupp, as they from the publisher and a publisher Rowohlt got in 1945 her son Harry Rowohlt. It was not until the mid-1950s she divorced from Rupp and married in 1957 than 20 years earlier Rowohlt, who died in 1960.

Maria Rowohlt died in 2005 at the age of 94 years in Hamburg.
