Maria Shriver

Maria Owings Shriver Schwarzenegger ( born November 6, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American journalist and best-selling author.

She worked many years as a reporter and news anchor of NBC and has since written several books. She is the daughter of Eunice Kennedy and Sargent Shriver (former U.S. Ambassador to France from 1968 to 1970 ), who in 1972 was vice- presidential candidate of the Democrats, and a niece of assassinated U.S. President John F. Kennedy and his brothers Robert F. Kennedy and Senator Edward Kennedy.

On April 26, 1986, she married Arnold Schwarzenegger, which the then- American student in 1977 had met at a seminar organized by the Kennedy Tennis Tournament. They have four children. In May 2011 the couple announced their separation. On Friday, July 1, 2011, she filed for divorce. In Last Action Hero (1993 ) she had a cameo at her husband's side.

End of April 2013, it announced that it would resume their former job as a television correspondent again, in returning as a special correspondent for NBC.
