Marianna Hill
Marianna Hill, sometimes: Mariana Hill ( born February 9, 1942 in Santa Barbara, California) is an American actress of German- Spanish descent.
Life
In her childhood, was born Marianna Schwarzkopf with her family all over the world on the go. Her father was a building contractor and also managed projects in Canada, Spain and the UK. She learned early multiple languages and dialects. As a teenager she began at La Jolla to play theaters in California and moonlighted as a model. Later they settled at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York train. One of her teachers there was Sanford Meisner.
Since 1960, she was seen regularly as a guest star in several television series, where they often exotic beauty personified because of their appearance and their linguistic skills (eg as a young Greek woman in the legal drama Perry Mason, as a Spaniard in Bonanza or Eskimo girl in a cage 's Heroes ). From 1962 came the first film roles, including Red Line 7000 directed by Howard Hawks and South Seas paradise on the side of Elvis Presley ( with which she sings the duet " Scratch My Back " in the film). In addition to some other movies followed in the 60s still mainly television roles, including in the series Batman, Star Trek, I Spy, Mission: Impossible You assume and Mannix. Over the years, guest appearances came together in over 50 different television series.
Only in the 1970s, it was common to see in the cinema: in the rotated Europe U.S. Western El Condor in which Quentin Tarantino esteemed film The Traveling Executioner and the avant-garde horror film Messiah of Evil, in which they an American counterpart to the horror icon Barbara Steele formed. Roles in the horror grotesque The Baby, the Clint Eastwood westerns followed Drifter and in Francis Ford Coppola's The Godfather Part II. In Method Acting trained and equipped with different makeup, Hill is barely recognizable in some of her roles.
Since the 80 years she has worked primarily as a drama teacher. After moving to England, she taught for many years at the Lee Strasberg Studio in London.
Marianna Hill is the cousin of the U.S. General Norman Schwarzkopf junior.
