The airfield Marina di Campo (it.: Aeroporto di Marina di Campo " Teseo Tesei " s: . Elba Airport ) is located on the Italian Mediterranean island of Elba (Tuscany), about one kilometer north-northeast of Marina di Campo in La Pila. The airfield is used by general aviation and regional airlines.

Infrastructure

The narrow airport is located near the Bay of Campo dell'Elba. The airport has a paved, about one kilometer long airstrip, which runs approximately north-south - direction (16 /34). The small reception building is located in the northwest. This aircraft can be handled up to the size of a Dash 8Q -300.

At the airport car rental companies are represented. There is a taxi stand and a small parking lot. At about 200 meters northwest of the terminal building by leading road to Portoferraio ( SP25 ) is a bus stop.

History

The airfield was established in 1963 thanks to an initiative of a German entrepreneur. In the years 1980-1987 the airfield from the air carriers Comair May to October was served regularly on the weekends from Vilshofen. On board each 9 passengers had space. Were offered these flights as vacation packages. The original 750 -meter grass runway was paved in 1991.
