Marina Lobatch

Marina Lobach Vikentievna (Russian Марина Викентьевна Лобач, translit. Vikent'evna Lobač Marina, born June 26, 1970 in Minsk) is a former Soviet athlete, who took in Rhythmic Gymnastics. Her biggest success was the victory at the Olympic Summer Games in Seoul in 1988.

Marina Lobach was a member of the club Dinamo Minsk. At the World Championships 1987 in Varna, she won along with the Bulgarian Bianka Panova the title with the tires. However, in the all-around, she was only fourth. Ahead of the Olympic Games Lobach won at the European Championships in Helsinki the title in the all around, they had to share with the Bulgarians Elisabet Kolewa and Adriana Dunavska and the Ukrainian Alexandra Timoshenko. All four had reached the ideal score 40.0. With rope and tape Lobach took also the European title. At the Olympic Games in Seoul, she won the gold medal. Here, Marina Lobach reached the finals in all four tests, the top grade ten. That was their previously already succeeded in qualifying.
