Marina Zhirova

Marina Schirowa (Russian Марина Жирова, English transcription Marina Zhirova; born June 6, 1963 in Egoryevsk ) is a former Russian track and field athlete, who was starting for the Soviet Union successfully as a sprinter in the 1980s.

At the European Championships in 1986 in Stuttgart she won in the 4 x 100 meters relay together with Antonija Nastuburko, Natalia and Olga Botschina Solotarjewa the bronze medal. It launched in the 200 -meter run. In the final, in which Heike Drechsler Marita Koch's world record of 21.71 s stopped, Schirowa finished eighth in 23.18 s.

Your most significant success came Schirowa at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul.
