Mario Garbuglia

Mario Garbuglia ( born May 27, 1927 in Fontespina; † 31 March 2010 Cibitano Marche ) was an Italian film set designer and production designer.

Life

Garbuglia was one of the most respected outfitter of Italian cinema and worked among others with Luchino Visconti and Nikita Mikhalkov. He received numerous honors, including the David di Donatello for La storia vera della signora delle camelie, a Nastro d'Argento for The Leopard and the British Film Award in the category Best Art Direction for Waterloo.

He began his work for the film industry as a set designer in 1950.
