Mario Pérez (footballer born 1946)

Mario Pérez Guadarrama ( born July 30, 1946) is a former Mexican football player who acted in defense.

Biography

Association

Pérez, one of four football-playing sons of footballer Luis Pérez González, his professional career began in 1965 in the service of the then resident in the capital, Club Necaxa, in which he both won the cup in 1966 and the Supercup. In 1969 he moved to city rivals América, where he was until 1978 under contract, and twice the Mexican Championship (1971 and 1976 ) and once each the Cup (1974 ), the Supercup (1976) and the CONCACAF Champions ' Cup ( 1977) won. 1978/79 he ended his active career in the service of CD Tampico.

National

His debut in the national team gave Pérez in a game against Nicaragua ( 4-0) on 6 March 1967. His only international goal he scored on March 26, 1968 against Japan ( 4-0). His last international match was against Peru ( 2-1 ) on 5 April 1972.

Height of his national team career was the participation in the discharged at home World Cup in 1970, when he played left-back all four games of the host in full length.
