Marion Jessup

Marion Zinderstein Jessup (* May 2, 1897, † March 1979) was an American tennis player.

Career

Marion Zinderstein Jessup won together with the successful American Vincent Richards at the Olympic Games in Paris in 1924 the silver medal in tennis mixed doubles.

She reached in the years 1919 and 1920 respectively the final of the U.S. Tennis championships, but was defeated in 1919 Hazel Hotchkiss Wightman her compatriot and one year later the Norwegian Molla Mallory respectively in straight sets. Far more successful was their record in women's doubles, which they won a total of four times in the tournament. From 1918 to 1920 she won with Eleanor Goss for three consecutive years and 1922 with Helen Wills Moody. She also won the Mixed with Vincent Richards title in 1919.
