Marion van de Kamp

Marion van de Kamp ( born October 24, 1925 in Wuppertal ) is a German actress and television presenter.

Life

After a short training at drama school in Dresden originating from a Dutch family Van de Kamp played at the Meininger Theater, then in Görlitz, Plauen, Schwerin and Leipzig. Here she was discovered in 1953 for the German Television and formed alongside three male colleagues, the first permanent television ensemble. Also in 1953, she took over along with three other actresses television announcement.

She appeared in numerous television dramas, including a woman becoming rock in a TV adaptation of Frank Wedekind's play The Marquis of Keith. Other important roles were Lady Milford in the DEFA film adaptation of Kabale und Liebe (1959) and the mistress of Augustus the Strong in Follow me, canaille! (1964). In addition to Armin Mueller-Stahl, she stood in the agent - series The invisible visor in front of the camera.

From 1955 to 1991 she was part of the ensemble of the Volksbühne Berlin. In her first role, she played the young teacher Nelly in Ulrich cup German -American Chronicle firewater. Since 1991 she has been at the Berlin Theater im Palais fixed host and a co-partner.
