Mariusz Siudek

Mariusz Krzysztof Siudek ( born April 29, 1972 in Oświęcim, Poland ) is a retired Polish figure skater, who started the pair of running.

Mariusz Siudek began in 1978 with the figure skating and specialized in 1989 to pair skating. He made his international debut at the European Championships in 1992 on the side of Beata Zielinska. In 1993, he ran with Marta Gluchowska. With her he had his World Cup debut in the same year.

From 1994 until the end of season end of his career was his partner Dorota Zagórska. The couple started for Unia Oświęcim Dwory SSA. Together they were nine times Polish champion in pair skating. Together disputed period from 1995 to 2007, except for the European Championship in 2005, all World and European Championships. In European Championships she reached the podium four times. 2004 and 2007 they won the bronze medal and in 1999 and 2000, they were runners- up behind the Russians Maria Petrova and Alexei Tikhonov. Your only medal at the World Championships won Siudek and Zagórska 1999 in Helsinki with bronze behind the Russians Jelena Bereschnaja and Anton Sikharulidze and the Chinese Shen Xue and Zhao Hongbo. Siudek and Zagórska are the only Polish figure skating pair to win a medal at the World and European Championships.

Mariusz Siudek and Dorota Zagórska married in 2000. 2009 came their son to the world. The Siudeks now working as a coach in Toruń. They currently serve the British figure skating pair Stacey Kemp and David King.
