Marjorie Chibnall
Marjorie MacCallum Chibnall (* 1914 in Atcham in Shropshire, † June 23, 2012 in Sheffield ) was an English historian, medievalist and translator from the Latin. She was ermeritierter Fellow (Clare Hall ) and Honorary Professor ( Girton College) at Cambridge University. Previously, she taught at the University of Southampton and the University of Aberdeen and was a research fellow at Oxford University (Lady Margaret Hall ).
Marjorie Chibnall worked mainly on the Norman England, her main work is the translation of Orderic Vitalis ' Historia Ecclesiastica into English.
