Mark Cueto

John Mark Cueto ( born December 26, 1979 in Workington, Cumbria ) is an English rugby union player. He plays as a winger or district goalkeeper for the English national team and the Sale Sharks.

Cueto began five years ago with the rugby until he devoted himself as a youth football. At 17, he went back to rugby. In 2001 he made ​​his debut in the Guinness Premiership. In the years 2003 and 2004 he played with England A, the reserve of the national team, the Churchill Cup. In a total of ten games for this team he put five attempts. Consequently, he was also nominated for the actual national team. He was part of the British and Irish Lions tour to New Zealand and played once against the All Blacks.

In the final of World Cup 2007 Cueto was about to lay the decisive attempt, his left foot touched but just the sidelines. England ultimately lost against South Africa. After the World Cup he was not nominated for an extended period for the national team until he returned benefiting from strong performances at the Sale Sharks again.

Cueto is one of five players who have scored more than 50 trials in the English Championship.
