Mark McNeill

Mark McNeill ( born February 22, 1993 Edmonton, Alberta ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since 2008 at the Prince Albert Raiders of the Western Hockey League contract. He is the son of the former ice hockey player Bernie McNeill.

Career

McNeill was in 2008 when the Western Hockey League Bantam Draft selected in fifth place of the Prince Albert Raiders, after he spent 13 years active in the South Side Athletic Club before. Since then, the Center plays in the Raiders of the Western Hockey League. In the 2010/11 season he reached there the play-offs and was second with 81 points best scorer of his team.

NHL Entry Draft 2011 McNeill was selected at 18 out of the Chicago Blackhawks.

Internationally

In 2010, McNeill participated in the World U -17 Hockey Challenge. In the U18 World Youth Championship 2011, he was a six-point fourth- best scorer of the Canadian selection.
