Mark Rubinstein

Mark Edward Rubinstein ( born June 8, 1944) is the owner of Paul Stephens Professor of Applied Investment Analysis at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.

As a leading financial expert, the focus of his work on derivatives, particularly options. He is mostly due to his work on the binomial model ( also called the Cox -Ross - Rubinstein model ) is known. In 1993 he was president of the American Finance Association. In 1995 he was appointed by the International Association of Financial Engineers for Financial Engineer of the Year.

Rubinstein has a BA in Economics from Harvard University, an MBA in Finance from Stanford University and a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of California, Los Angeles.
