Mark Siebeck

Mark Siebeck ( born October 14, 1975 in Schkeuditz, East Germany ) is a former German national volleyball player.

Career

Mark Siebeck began his career at the Leipzig clubs turbine and SC. In 1998 he moved to VfB Friedrichshafen, with whom he a year later the "Double" outdated and again in 2000 German champion. Then he returned to his Saxon home and played until 2002 when VV Leipzig. During this time he was with the senior national team at the European Championships in 2001 in the Czech Republic. He then went to Poland, where he was runner-up twice with PZU AZS Olsztyn. As a legionnaire, he also experienced his second European Championship in Germany. In the season 2006/ 07 he played at AZS Warsaw. With the national team Mark Siebeck reached ninth place at the World Championships in Japan. Since his Polish club ran into financial difficulties, he moved to Turkey to Halkbank Ankara. With the national team he reached at the Olympic Games in Beijing in August 2008 to ninth place. He then moved to Italy to Trenkwalder Modena and again in 2009 in Turkey for Besiktas Istanbul. As of 2010, Mark Siebeck played in the Bundesliga again at CV Central Germany, where he ended his career in 2012.

Mark Siebeck is the son of Frank Siebeck athletes, the 1971 European champion in the 110 meter hurdles.
