Markławka

Markławka ( German Mark varnish ) is a village in Poland, in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. The village is part of the Schulz Office ( sołectwo ) Rodele in the rural commune ( gmina wiejska ) Barciany, powiat Kętrzyński.

Geography

Geographical location

Markławka is located in north-eastern Poland. The Polish state border with the Russian Kaliningrad Oblast is located about 20 kilometers north of the village. Approximately one to two kilometers south of Markławka are Pieszewo and Winda, one kilometer north is Rodele.

History

Today's Markławka was created in 1342 with an area of ​​four Wloka. The village had a mill. 1818 6 houses and 78 inhabitants were noted for the village. In January 1945, the Red Army occupied the area and as a result of the war, the area became part of Poland. There was an agricultural cooperative here. 1970 lived 87 people in Markławka. With the dissolution of Gromadas the village was part of the 1973 Office Schulz Skoczewo in the community Barciany. Today, the village is part of the Office Schulz Rodele.

By Markławka performs a side street. It opens about 500 meters south of the Province Road 591 ( droga wojewódzka 591 ). About a kilometer north it opens at Rodele also in the 591

There is a bus service which offers, among other connections to Kętrzyn.

The village does not have its own rail connection. The nearest railway station is in about ten kilometers south Kętrzyn or in the 15 km westerly Korsze. From there, the PKP offers direct connections to Olsztyn and Poznan.

The geographically nearest international airport is Kaliningrad, about 90 kilometers north-west is located on Russian territory. The nearest international airport on Polish territory is located about 190 kilometers west of Lech Walesa Airport, Gdansk.
