Marko Rehmer

Marko Rehmer ( born April 29, 1972 in East Berlin ) is a former German football player.

In youth Rehmer played at the 1 FC Union Berlin. As a defensive player, he was active for Hansa Rostock in the Bundesliga from 1997. From 1999 to 2005 he played for Hertha BSC before he changed from 1 July 2005 to Eintracht Frankfurt.

In the National Team, he played from 1998 to 2003 35 games for the DFB and scored four goals. In 2002, he took with the team at the World Cup in South Korea and Japan ( an insert ), and was vice-champion.

In 2004 he made negative headlines when he took a drug without consultation with his club Hertha BSC, which stood on the doping list. Rehmer then accepted a heavy fine, to avoid dismissal. Dogged by injuries, he was then in Berlin no longer core team and moved in summer 2005 to Frankfurt. At the end of the 2006/07 season, his contract ended at the Hessen and he ended his professional career. He is now playing for Hertha seniors.

He is currently employed as an expert during the second division transfers the TV channel Sport 1. He is also a partner of " INTEAMSPORTS soccer" and there as a player consultant.
