Markus Berger

Markus Berger (born 21 January 1985 in Salzburg) is an Austrian football player.

Career

Berger began his career with FC Salzburg and in 1997 to SV Austria Salzburg. In 1999 he moved as a teenager for a total of five years after Germany, where he played in the youth of the VfB Stuttgart and Eintracht Frankfurt in the Amateuermannschaft. At the beginning of the 2004/05 season, he returned to Austria for SV Ried in the second-class First League. With the SV Ried he popped straight up in the Bundesliga and completed on 30 July 2005 at the match against Austria Wien made ​​his Bundesliga debut.

After three years in Austria Berger went in the summer of 2007 after Portugal Academica Coimbra. For the club from Coimbra he came in 71 league games for use, scoring five goals.
