Markus Burger

Markus Burger ( born September 30, 1966 in Wittlich ) is a German pianist and composer of the jazz age range as being active on the also in the New.

Life and work

Burger took piano lessons since the age of eight. Early on, he won classical music competitions; In 1993 he was a prizewinner of youth jazzt in Rhineland -Palatinate and North Rhine -Westphalia. With the Jazz Orchestra of the Rhineland Palatinate, he was on several foreign tours. From 1989 to 1990 he studied with Rob Madna and Tine Schneider at the Conservatory of Hilversum, then briefly in Hamburg the study program to visit popular music with Udo Dahmen and then study from 1990 to 1993 at the Folkwang Hochschule.
