Markus Schroth (2012 )

Markus Schroth ( born January 25, 1975 in Karlsruhe ) is a retired German football player.

Playing career

Schroth began in the TSV Reichenbach resident in his native village with the football games. The age of 15 he moved to Karlsruher SC, where he went through the youth teams up to the first team. Alongside he graduated in the high school in the neighboring town of Karlovy Vary Langensteinbach. When he was four years to the professional team at KSC, he moved to the descent of the Baden 1998 TSV 1860 München. When he also descended with the Munich 2004 the first football league, he moved to Erstligaaufsteiger 1 FC Nuremberg. With the club he was the DFB Pokal 2006/ 07 win. Schroth changes for season 2007/ 08 free for TSV 1860 München. He signed a contract until 30 June 2009 with an option for another year. Reason for the change was that Schroth a good perspective for the period after his active career saw in 1860.

In preparing for the 2007/08 season he injured his knee. After a tendinitis was diagnosed, he had to be operated several times, so it was not used in the two seasons with the Lions. In summer 2009, Schroth finished his career as a professional player.

Schroth came twenty times for the German U- 21 team to use, but he scored six goals. Six times he played for the A2, twice for the team in 2006. Here, he scored a goal each.

After the active career

On 1 March 2009 he assisted Uwe Wolf in the game against FC St. Pauli for the first time as an assistant coach. When playing in Ingolstadt 8 March 2009 Schroth took over the function of the coach after Wolf had been expelled by the referee in the stands just before half- time break. After he finished his career in the summer of 2009, Schroth worked for two years for the IMG, the marketer of the TSV 1860. Since 2011 he has been engaged as a special coach in the youth academy of 1860. After the leave of his former striker Kollegens Bernhard Winkler as coach of the U23 Lions and the rise of the former assistant coach Klaus Koschlik head coach, Schroth rose beginning of September 2011 for assistant coach of the little lion. 14 May 2012 Schroth, was promoted to assistant coach of TSV 1860 Munich in the second division. On 8 May 2013, asked his labor until then giving 1860 Munich at the termination of his contract as an assistant coach for personal reasons.
