The Marra (Arabic جبل مرة Jebel Marra, Jebel Marra also ) is a 3042 m high volcano on the Marra plateau in western Sudan.

It is located in the states of Darfur and Schamal Dschanub Darfur between the town of al - Fasher and the border with Chad.

The Marra plateau covers an area of 1500 km ² and has a height of 1500-3042 m above sea level.

The Marra is surrounded by stone desert ( Hammada ). Inside the five kilometers wide Deriba caldera, a 4000 years old caldera, are the two Deriba lakes.
